Starting in 2011, CMS will require every MA-PD and PDP plan sponsor to conduct data validation audits.

APC has the solution.

APC Data Validation Services will provide you with the necessary resources and expertise to comply with the new annual reporting mandate.  This requirement will be implemented later in 2010 with the first audit period scheduled to start in March 2011 and run through May 2011.  CMS has published standards that must be met by potential auditors in order for the results of the audit to be considered valid.  Because of our in-depth experience with Medicare programs and our singular focus on prescription drug benefits, APC is your most qualified partner because we meet or exceed the CMS requirements in the following categories:

The APC management team includes experienced health care professionals with PharmD, MBA and MHA degrees as well as graduate work in mathematics, applied statistics and certification for healthcare fraud investigation.

  • Facilities and Security Requirements

APC meets or exceeds all HIPAA and HITECH requirements as well as NIST standards for data security, including comprehensive encryption and a secure FTP site for data transfer.  Our servers are capable of storing over 2.4 terabytes of information, so no live data remains on desktops.  All data is backed up every four (4) hours and stored off-site for disaster recovery every 24 hours.
